Bollywood Box Office Hits Of 2019

This year Bollywood has seen some brilliant blockbuster hits and some disastrous flops. In this article let's take a look at the films that went on to smash it in the Box Office and deliver films that we absolutely deserved. 

Uri: The Surgical StrikeThis brilliantly made film depicted the retaliation of the Indian Army to the 2016 Uri attacks. Through the life of Major Vihaan Singh Shergill played by Vicky Kaushal, this film gives us a detailed account of what went down during this attack. This film did a whooping ₹342.06 crore worldwide making it a huge blockbuster. 

Gully BoyThis Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt film won hearts worldwide with their brilliant performances in this film. Gully Boy is a spectacular story about a boy from the slums of Dharavi who pursues his passion for rap music and gets the big break he deserves. This film earned ₹238 crores worldwide. 

Kesari This Akshay Kumar starrer is based on the historic Battle of Saragarhi, which was fought between 21 Sikh soldiers and 6000-10,000 Afridi and Orakzai Pashtun tribesmen in 1897. This battle went down as the bravest and greatest last stands in military history. This film has also earned a place in the highest-grossing films of Bollywood 2019 and has earned ₹207.09 crore worldwide. 

Bharat This Salman Khan film traced India's post-independence history from the perspective of a common man and follows his life from the age of 8 to 70. This Eid Blockbuster earned this film a smashing  ₹314.68 crore worldwide. 

Article 15Ayushmann Khurrana played the role of a police officer in his film, Article 15. Through a crime investigation, this film highlights the plight of the lower caste and the evils of the caste system that still prevail in our society. This brilliant movie was thought-provoking, hard-hitting and brought to light a relevant topic in a sensitive manner. Article 15 earned ₹91 crore worldwide. 

Kabir SinghThis Shahid Kapoor movie has gone on to be one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2019. In this film, Shahid Kapoor plays an alcoholic surgeon who goes on a self-destructive path after his girlfriend is forced to marry someone else. This blockbuster has gone on to make ₹372.30 crore worldwide. 

Super 30This Hrithik Roshan starrer is based on the life of a mathematical genius, Anand Kumar, who decided not to let poverty stop him from re-writing his own story. Determined to make a difference, Anand took on 30 intelligent underprivileged children and gave them hope and a shot at a bright future by training them to crack the IIT-JEE exams. This film received rave reviews by the audience and critics alike. Super 30 has made ₹208.90 crore worldwide.
