Embrace the Blues at Mahindra Blues Fest 2018!

Someone employed in a corporate job favored a huge number of Mumbaikars by initiating a business partnership in Asia’s biggest Music Concert Mahindra Blues Fest. We thank the Mahindra management for sorting out our weekend. Albeit once in a year, we are taught that good things take time.

It is indeed a once in a blue moon kind of an opportunity for music lovers, hosted annually in February in our beloved city, Mumbai. The iconic Film Studio at Hill Road, Bandra becomes the official hub to host the world’s renowned artists and worldwide fans of the blues genre of music. The film studio is buzzing with paparazzi, Bollywood technicians, popular directors and actors on other days of the year. However one weekend of the year, the venue reserves its special premises for encouraging the shared love for the ‘Blues’

Imagine a borderless world; well art has time and again managed to make this phenomenon come alive. International Music bands fly down to Mumbai, to entertain the listeners of world music, particularly those who enjoy the nuances of the Blue Genre. The studio echoes to guitar strings, artist vocals and the loud cheering of the crowd.

As citizens, we are lucky to get a glimpse of international culture and music. By seeing these renowned performers on stage, we get an understanding of their talent, as they render it passionately through their songs.

Interestingly, the Mahindra group showed interest in this art form to build a bridge between the Farmer Community of the US, who had a huge potential to be the prospective buyers of the M & M Tractors and their keen interest in the Blues genre.  A win-win situation for all.

The event is synonymous to high quality music, production, lighting and staging. The organizing team has brought in some of the best names like Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker Jr., Taj Mahal and Walter Trout. We are fortunate to celebrate music and enjoy the choicest of well-made wines and choose from an impeccable menu of world cuisines.

We are proud to witness yet another musical act by the Indian Band Blackstratblues aka Warren Mendosa, the nephew of Bollywood Composer Loy Mendosa, from the notable Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy fame. Warren has inherited the talent from the tender age of 5.

It shall be an absolute honor to watch Buddy Guy perform in person. A leading American guitarist and singer, ranked among the ‘100 greatest guitarist of all time’. For two weekends a year, Mahindra Blues fest is held in the iconic Buddy Guy’s Blue Club in Chicago, do note when in America.
