Playing With Fire- From Firefighting To Babysitting!

Playing with fire is a comedy movie starring the world-renowned ex-WWE star John Cena. The movie also boasts of stars like Judy Greer, the comedian Keegan-Michael Key and John Leguizamo who you may recognize from the John Wick series or as the voice of Sid from Ice-Age movies.

The film is a comedy with a lot of heart. John Cena plays the role of Jake Carson, a fire superintendent with his trusted fellow firefighters, who are the best in the business. They are always prepared and can handle any situation they find themselves in, or so they believe.

A call to tackle a forest fire leads them to rescue three siblings, whose parents are nowhere to be found. This incident leaves Jake and his co-workers stuck with the legal obligation of looking after the kids until their parents are located.

The firefighters, a disciplined and serious lot, are caught off-guard with this alien situation. They soon realize that all the training in the world couldn’t save them from the kids and their mischief. Babysitting is a challenge like no other they have faced up until now. What follows is a hilarious clash of personalities and generations.

John Cena: Wrestler To Comedian

John Cena, whose last big feature film was the “Bumblebee” in 2018, is starting to show his acting chops in recent times. Usually seen smacking and beating up others, it will surely be interesting to see his comic-timing as well as his rapport with three very young actors.

Man Behind The Movie

The movie is directed by Andy Fickman, who is known for his light-hearted comedies that often feature contrasting personalities coming together. You may know him from his previous movies like “The Game Plan” (which incidentally starred another ex-wrestler in Dwayne Johnson), “Race to Witch Mountain” (Dwayne Johnson again) and “She’s The Man.”

All the ingredients seem to be in place for a fluffy goody movie you can enjoy with your kids, without having to worry about the plot. You can catch the movie on 8 November 2019, in theatres near you.
