    The film features a stout young man the character actor being  Kichcha Sudeep. He was born as Sudeep Sanjeev who started his career in the Indian film industry way back in 1997 in Thayavva. Did you know that the actor had to lose a staggering 16 kilograms for the role? That’s right. Kiccha underwent rigorous training not only to lose weight but also master the movements to perfect his stunts for the film. 

Did you know that wrestling has been a known activity in India since ancient times? It was famously known as Malla-yuddha, a traditional form of combat-wrestling originating in the Indian subcontinent. The modern times have incorporated this into a basic form of wrestling tournament called Dangal. But Pailwaan seems to focus more on Pehlwani or Kushti, a combination of Malla-yuddha and the Persian varzesh-e bastani. The film showcases the sport in overwhelming imagery and cinematography that will keep any movie watcher on his feet. This move is also mainly attributable to S. Krishna, the father of the romantic cult, Mungaru Male, who took the reins to direct the film. Did you know that he wrote it as well?
